FAQ'S
What is the difference between booking directly and booking through Turo?
Booking directly through our website saves you money by eliminating third-party
platform fees, but requires you to provide your own auto insurance that covers rental
vehicles. Booking through Turo costs slightly more due to their fees, but allows you to
purchase Turo’s built-in protection plans. Both options get you the exact same
premium 5280 Auto Rentals vehicle and white-glove service.
Do I need special insurance to book directly?
Yes. To book directly with us, you must provide proof of a personal auto insurance policy that includes coverage for rental vehicles (most full-coverage policies do). If you do not have this coverage, we
require you to book through our Turo page so you are fully protected.
Are your vans equipped for winter mountain driving?
Absolutely. Our entire fleet is curated specifically for Colorado’s high country. Our vans feature AWD or 4x4capabilities, high-clearance, and are equipped with premium snow-rated or all-terrain
tires during the winter months to ensure you can navigate I-70 and mountain passes safely.
Do you offer airport delivery at Denver International Airport (DIA)?
All parking for rental vehicles is located off-site. On-site airport parking is often frustrating and time-consuming. We use a private shuttle provided by The Parking Spot South (Park My Ride), which offers 24/7, seamless pickup and return right to the terminals. No need to stop at a rental counter or wait for a slow-running shuttle service to the outlying parking areas.
How many people can your vans comfortably seat?
Our fleet includes variations of the Ford Transit and Nissan NV3500. Depending on the specific van you choose, they comfortably seat between 8and 12 passengers, with ample room for luggage and
outdoor gear. Please check the specific vehicle listing for the exact seating capacity. We can reconfigure the seating in the Nissan NV 3500 to accommodate more equipment and luggage.
Can we add gear like ski racks or car seats to our rental?
Yes. Each of our vans is equipped with a vertical storage container that holds skis, snowboards, or luggage. In addition, the Nissan NV 3500 offers a separate THULE roof rack. We want to make your trip as effortless as possible. During the checkout process (both Direct and onTuro), you can select add-ons such as ski/snowboard racks, premium coolers, child carseats, and pre-paid fuel.
Is there a mileage limit on the rentals?
Our rentals include a generous daily mileage allowance designed to easily cover trips from Denver to any of the major ski resorts or mountain towns (Vail, Breckenridge, Aspen, etc.). Specific mileage limits and overage fees are detailed on each vehicle’s booking page.
What happens if we have an issue with the van during our trip?
We pride ourselves on our 24/7 concierge-level service. Whether you book directly or through
Turo, you will have direct access to our team. If you experience a mechanical issue, we
will work immediately to resolve it or provide a replacement vehicle if necessary..
Are pets allowed in the vans? We love adventure pups!
We do allow dogs in select vehicles for an additional pet cleaning fee. Please notify us in advance if you plan to bring a pet so we can ensure you are booked in a pet-friendly van.
What is your cancellation policy?
For direct bookings, you receive a full refund ifyou cancel at least 7 days prior to your trip start date. For Turo bookings, the cancellation policy is dictated by Turo’s standard terms, which offers a premium plan that allows you to cancel up to 24 hours before the trip.
